Access Point Database (Source: gpster.net):

The Load from Internet grabs the database output from this url, with "top" "bottom" "right" "left" denoting a latitudes, longitudes for an area to search for beacons.

http://placelab.org/data/do-retrieve.php ?style=new&left=-123.4&right=-122.8&top=49.9&bottom=49.5

Placelab provides for using the database at WiGLE which works for GET and POST :

http://wigle.net/gpsopen/gps/GPSDB/confirmquery ?latrange1=47.0&latrange2=50.0&longrange1=-121.0&longrange2=-124.0

started streaming beacons, 44,000 and counting. Ooops, crash. So use a smaller range. 48..49,-122..-123 draws 2632 results from Wigle, again, none from placelab.(?) (log in with mc3/hino) Unfortunately this web-based data format likely changes and wigle seems unsupportive of a standard format. They now have a limit of 1000 aps perpage, so each 1000AP block can be indexed with a "pagestart=1000" ("start with AP 1000 of query") variable.
