The OOP 2005 topic that attracted me was model-driven development by using domain-specific languages based on frameworks.

Using a DomainSpecificLanguage to leverage the abstractions of an ApplicationFramework might be the way to really make frameworks useful to average developers. Hiding the technology details from developers might be possible this way, by still allowing power developers to dive in and extend the framework for speciality needs.

My own talks were differently received. While Test-based Development with Application frameworks had good standing attendance the afternoon talk Introduction on Security Patterns lost about half the audience during the talk. May be I need to work on presenting security patterns.
